NASSCO is responsible for building and maintaining the National Social Register, coordinating across institutions and programs, facilitating the use of targeting and payment systems, and ensuring policy coherence and knowledge sharing across the sector. Under initiatives like the National Social Safety Nets Project-Scale Up (NASSP-SU), NASSCO has expanded access to millions of households through shock-responsive cash transfers, strengthened state and community-level targeting mechanisms, and improved monitoring and evaluation to ensure efficient service delivery.
